ZIRAN Love Beam - 6' 10"
6’10” x 21″ x 2 5/8″
“The Love Beam is a board designed with smooth effortless glide in mind. Inspired by the curves of the mid 70s single fin hulls, refined into a user friendly package. I have two variations of this model with slightly different features.
First one is the pin tail – this is going to be the one with more hold in bigger waves with a more drawn out approach to turns, this typically will come standard as just a single but this isn’t necessarily a rule. The bottom on this consists of a subtle rolled hull under the front foot transitioning to flat under the back foot for control and drive.
The second variation is the squash tail – I would normally recommend this one to the people who are going to be surfing more beach breaks or slightly weaker surf. The bottom on this is the same with the exception of a double concave under the back foot instead of flat. I would also recommend this variation with side bites. The combination of concave and side bites under the back foot will dramatically give you more lift and squirt out of your turns which will aid you in weaker surf and give you more pivot up the face.
The pin tail will maybe suit the longboarder or traditionalist wanting to go smaller or someone who just wants to send it in some tubes. The squash tail version will suit those who come from a shortboard background who are used to three fins and concave under the back foot and want to push a little through turns.”
